Delivering beach vibes in a can, Spiked is a set of ready-to-drink tropical cocktails created by Vita Coco and Captain Morgan. The two brands, the largest coconut water and rum brand in the US respectively, asked Nessen Co to create a design that captures the spirit of the classic mixed drinks while respecting the two companies’ unique personalities and assets. While the current Vita Coco packaging portrays a sunny day perfect for a replenishing coconut water, Spiked instead shows a tropical evening with the full moon reflected on gentle ocean waves, framed by swaying palm trees—the perfect spot to kick off your shoes and enjoy an exquisitely crafted cocktail. The pack design takes inspiration from the simple, graphic style of vintage tiki bar matchbooks and features an illustrated landscape created with hatch marks and custom script typography. Vita Coco Spiked is now on shelves nationwide and available in three flavors: Lime Mojito, Pina Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri.
