Runa is a different kind of energy drink all together. Powered by a leaf grown by the Kichwa people of Ecuador, Runa was founded by student activists and is dedicated to making a positive impact on society and the environment. It gives you good energy, and then asks you to consider the energy you put into the world. We worked with Runa to refocus their brand and provide a rich but simple visual framework. In a category dominated by clinical futurism, Runa’s new identity celebrates its unique natural energy by embracing grit, texture, a little bit of messiness, and a lot of freedom. In addition to brand strategy and visual identity, we created tone-of-voice guidelines and helped roll out the updated branding on social.
