It turns out that we were all wrong, plastic isn't recyclable the way we think it is. Only a small ammount of plastic in the recycle bin actually gets recycled, and then it never becomes consumer plastic again. But aluminum is recyclable over and over, infinitely. A recycled can can be back on the shelf in 60 days. In fact, 75% of the aluminum ever used in packaging and products has been recycled and is still in use today. With columns of dense type explaining each can's storied past, Ever & Ever is a celebration of aluminum and its many lives. Within days of its release, Ever & Ever's first run sold out and has since replaced the entire stock of plastic bottles at a number of large organizations. It's currently available in select retailers and
direct to consumer. This project has been featured on
The Dieline and
Creative Boom, and was awarded bronze at the Dieline Awards 2020.
